Panasonic LUMIX DMC-G80

The Panasonic LUMIX DMC-G80 is a compact system camera featuring 4K technologies, improved 5-Axis Dual Image Stabilisation and a splash/dust proof design. ThePanasonic DMC-G80 (also known as the Panasonic G85) features an updated Image Stabilization system – the 5-axis Dual I.S. MK II. By incorporating new gyro-sensor technology, the O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer, 2-axis) and B.I.S. (Body Image Stabilizer, 5-axis) are able to work in perfect harmony and with outstanding accuracy. The 16.0-megapixel Digital Live MOS Sensor and new Venus Engine combine to allow users to shoot vibrant, true-to-life high quality images with excellent resolution, high contrast, impressive colour reproduction and max. ISO 25600 high sensitivity. To withstand the demands of heavy field use, the DMC-G80 adopts rugged design with a full die-cast magnesium front frame. It also features splash and dustproof construction thanks to the careful sealing on every joint, dial and button.

Capture One Pro 9.1.2

Phase One has released an update to Capture One Pro 9. Version 9.1.2, which is free to all Capture One Pro 9 license owners and Capture One Pro subscribers, adds support for the Canon EOS-1DX Mark II, EOS 1300D and EOS 80D, the Nikon D5 and the Panasonic G70 cameras; as well as the Olympus Zuiko Digital ED 8mm Fisheye 1:3.5 and M.Zuiko ED 8mm F1.8 Fisheye PRO, the Zeiss Loxia 2/35, Loxia 2/50, Loxia 2.8/21, Touit 2.8/12, Touit 1.8/32, Touit 2.8/50 and Batis 2.8/18, the Sony FE 70-300mm F4.5-5.6 G OSS, the Panasonic Lumix G Vario 14-140mm f3.5-5.6, and the Rodenstock HR Digaron-SW 5.6/90 mm/Aerial and ALPA HR Alpagon 5.6/90mm lenses.

Panasonic UK Announce Cashback Offer

Panasonic UK is offering consumers up to £100/€140 cashback with the purchase of select Lumix G compact system cameras and Lumix compacts. These include the Panasonic GH4, GX8, G7 and GX7 (£100 cashback), the LX100, FZ100 and FZ330 (£50 cashback), the FZ200 and FZ72 (£30 cashback). The offer is available from 10th February - 30th March 2016 from participating retailers and is claimed via consumer redemption at Panasonic.

Panasonic has today introduced a new telephoto zoom lens for MFT cameras. The Leica DG Vario-Elmar 100-400mm F4.0-6.3 ASPH. is a 200-800mm equivalent lens featuring Power Optical Image Stabilisation (O.I.S.) and an optical formula comprising 20 elements in 13 groups plus an iris diaphragm with 9 rounded blades. The weather sealed telephoto lens comes with a dedicated, quick-shifting tripod mount and an integrated shift-away lens hood.

Panasonic Announce 'Post Focus' Firmware Update

Panasonic have announced an upcoming firmware update for their Lumix G7, GX8 (pictured) and FZ330 digital cameras, which enables photographers to select whichever part of the image they want to be in focus post-capture. Operation of the Post Focus function is straightforward and easy: turn on the feature, compose and take your picture. Then, while reviewing the images simply touch the area you want the focus to be and a new image with the selected focus area will be produced as a separate photo. Post Focus has been made possible by combining the high-speed, high-precision DFD (Depth from Defocus) auto focus technology and Panasonic’s 4K technology (burst images in 4K resolution are shot at 30 fps while detecting up to 49 areas of a frame for focus points at different depths of field). The Post Focus firmware update will be available at 01:00 GMT on 25th November, 2015 on the LUMIX Global website.

Double Christmas Cashback on Panasonic 4K Imaging Products

Panasonic UK are offering a double cashback on the latest 4K cameras and camcorders. If you purchase an eligible product from a participating retailer between Wednesday 18th November and Sunday 6th December you will be able to claim cashback up to £300 (€400). To claim the cashback on qualifying Lumix, Lumix G camera and camcorder models, participants (aged 18 or over only) must complete an online registration form 28 days after product purchase. Panasonic LUMIX DMC-G7

The Panasonic LUMIX DMC-G7 compact system camera integrates 4K video recording capability and a variety of 4K Photo functions. The LUMIX DMC-G7 records  QFHD 4K video in 3840x2160 at 25p (50Hz) or 24p in MP4 with full-time auto-focusing. The 4K Photo function allows you to extract an 8-megapixel still, and three 4K Photo functions are newly integrated into the LUMIX DMC-G7: 4K Burst Shooting, 4K Burst (Start/Stop) and 4K Pre-burst.

Other key features include a 16-megapixel Digital Live MOS Sensor, 8fps continuous shooting, ISO 25600, ultra-high speed AF of just 0.07 sec, Wi-Fi connectivity, high-speed dual OLED Live View Finder, and a 3-inch 1040K-dot Free-Angle touch screen display.

The LUMIX G7 will be available from mid-June in the UK.
