The 200-600mm is a little larger than the Sigma 150-600mm Contemporary. It measures 12.5 by 4.4 inches (HD), versus 10.2 by 4.1 inches for the Sigma. But the Sigma, and similar lenses from Nikon and Tamron, all telescope outward when zoomed in. The Sony 200-600mm's zoom is completely internal, so its dimensions don't change based on the focal length.
