The Lomo'Instant film camera is now available for regular purchase. This funky little instant film camera features a built-in wide-angle lens plus fisheye and portrait lens attachments, and works with the widely available Fujifilm Instax Mini film. The Lomo'Instant can be purchased in the Lomography Online Shop, Lomography Gallery & Embassy Stores and a number of other partner stores worldwide, priced at £89.

The first Hasselblad camera body and Zeiss lens carried into orbit by Wally Schirra on Mercury-Atlas 8 will be auctioned by Boston, MA based RR Auction later this month. Schirra reportedly purchased the Hasselblad 500c camera at a Houston photo supply shop in 1962, and brought it back to NASA for mission use preparation. The modifications included the installation of a 100-exposure film container, an aiming device mounted on the side, and modification of the camera surface, plus the original metal facing was repainted black to minimise reflections. The auction is scheduled to take place on 13th November at 3:00 pm ET, at RR Auction’s Boston Gallery.

Impossible have released their long-promised Color 600, SX-70 and Spectra/Image Black Frame films. "Black frame color films are yet another dynamic alternative to the ‘standard’ square white frame made famous by Polaroid," the company says. "They are a stylish addition to a film line-up that includes the iconic white frame, along with gold, silver, a variety of colors, tropical florals and animal skins." Impossible Color Film Black Frames are suitable for use with any Polaroid SX-70, 600,or Image/Spectra camera as well as the Impossible Instant Lab.

The Impossible Cyan 600 and Magenta 600 Monochrome are the first in a new series of Impossible monochrome films. “We have been experiencing a huge demand for films that take users out of the ‘norm’ of the classic square, white frame everyone recognises as a ‘Polaroid’,." says Creed O’Hanlon, Impossible’s Chief Executive Officer. "Impossible photographers like to push the boundaries of their creativity and we try to support them with a range of different instant film materials." Impossible Cyan 600 Monochrome and Magenta 600 Monochrome can be shot in any Polaroid 600-type camera or Impossible’s own Instant Lab. The films will be available on Wednesday 22nd October, from the Impossible Online Shop and selected resellers worldwide.

The Lomographic Society has unveiled the LomoChrome Turquoise XR 100-400 film. Now available to pre-order with a quantity of only 5,000 from the first batch, the LomoChrome Turquoise XR 100-400 film comes in 35mm and 120 formats and retails in 5, 10, 15 or 20 packs. "Following on from our hugely successful LomoChrome Purple film, this colour negative film will bathe your photos in lustrous tones – turning lighter colors into varying shades of blues from aqua to cobalt, transforming greens into deep emerald shades and changing a crystal clear sea into a golden hue," the company says. Film manufacturer Ferrania is in the process of building a new factory in northern Italy. Two years ago, the company ceased production of all photographic film due to plummeting demand. Now they have embarked on a Kickstarter campaign to help fund the resumption of operations. "We have created an ambitious new factory design that will allow us to produce enough film, at a reasonable price, to meet worldwide demand," the company says. "We have already rescued tons of equipment (quite literally) from the old Ferrania buildings - but we need more and we are out of time. The buildings will be destroyed at the end of this year." The campaign has already surpassed its target but you can still pledge to back the project and receive various rewards - rolls of 35mm, 120 format, Super 8 and 16mm motion picture film - in exchange.

Lomography has introduced a limited-edition Tungsten film. Available in 135 (35mm) format, the Lomography Cine400 Tungsten film is an ISO400/27° Tungsten-balanced colour negative film made from authentic cine material. "If you loved the Lomography Cine200 Tungsten Film, you’ll love this even more – the high ISO means it’s suitable for various lighting conditions," the company says. "This emulsion yields excellent grain, smooth gradation, remarkable shadow details and natural skin tone." There are only 4000 rolls available, and the price is £9.90 per 36-exposure roll.

Fujifilm UK is to close its Leeds-based E6 slide processing facility next month. This ceasing of E6 processing operations was planned a year in advance to enable customers who have remaining rolls of Fujichrome Sensia process-paid film sufficient time to get them developed. Fujifilm's pre-paid processing vouchers are only valid up to the closing date of 1st November 2014. Note, however, that Leeds-based professional laboratory CC Imaging will carry on developing transparency films as normal, just not under the 'Fujifilm Processing Laboratory' brand.

Impossible has just released a new instant film for Polaroid SX-70 type cameras. The B&W SX-70 Hard Color is the latest in a series of Impossible Special and Limited Edition instant films that offer not just alternatives to the classic, white, square frame made famous by Polaroid – Impossible has created films with black, silver, gold, multiple colors, and tropical and animal skin prints – but also different coloured film emulsions, including sepia, cyan and magenta.The Polaroid SX-70 format is now 42 years old but according to Creed O’Hanlon, the Berlin-based CEO of Impossible CEO, it still relevant and exciting: “Analogue black and white film photography is being rediscovered by a younger generation who are captivated by the magical physicality – and authenticity – of a monochrome picture that develops within a few minutes in the palm of your hand.”

Hasselblad has announced the upcoming launch of a new medium format camera body. The Hasselblad H5X, which boasts latest capture functionality comes after the spring launch of the world's first 50MP CMOS Sensor H5D-50c camera and the summer launch of the new H5D-50c MS, H5D-200c MS and the CFV-50c CMOS digital back. The H5X, which will retail at €4,595 without viewfinder (or €5,795 with viewfinder), provides the same extensive functionality as the H1 and H2 cameras but with a number of new functions including full HC and HCD lens compatibility, eight memory banks, True Focus mechanism, high-power AF illumination, superior viewfinder options including the HVD 90x viewfinder optimised for 36x48 mm format and HV 90x-II viewfinder optimised for the film and 40.2×53.7 mm format. the camera works with film and digital backs. Hasselblad will showcase the new H5X at photokina 2014.

Fuji today announced an expansion of its Instax line of instant film cameras with the redesigned Fujifilm Instax Wide 300, which uses large format instant film. Sporting a contemporary and professional design for better image composition and easier handling, the Instax Wide 300 features an optical viewfinder, a 95mmm f/14 lens, AE control with exposure compensation, a lens ring dial with a two-range focus zone setting, an integrated flash, a tripod socket and a close-up lens adapter for macro shooting as close as 15.5”from the subject. The Fujifilm Instax Wide 300 uses Instax Wide instant film that is double the size of Instax Mini film. It is ideally suited for fashion photography, group shots at parties and events, landscape scenes, as well as many practical business applications, the company says. The Instax Wide 300 will be available in spring 2015 for USD $129.99 \ CAD $129.99.

The Lomo LC-A 120 is a new medium-format "toy" camera designed for Lomography enthusiasts. Using standard 120 format film, the LC-A 120 boasts an ultra-wide Minigon XL 38mm f/4.5 multi-coated lens featuring 5 optical elements in 4 groups, and shoots 6x6 type square-format images. The minimum focusing distance is 0.6m, and the lens can also be set to 1m, 2.5m and infinity. Other features include multiple exposures, and long exposures with slow sync flash, cable release & tripod thread plus hot shoe for attaching a flash. Dubbed "the most compact, magical & fully automatic 120 film camera ever," the Lomo LC-A 120 is now available to pre-order for £339.

Supersense is a new "analogue concept store" in Vienna, Austria, which will offer exclusive analogue products including the world’s first analogue instant pinhole camera, Impossible film, refurbished cameras, and a new range of Impossible cameras and Instant Lab products. The unique shop is the brainchild of Impossible founder, Florian Kaps, shortly after he retired from the company. “After spending an extended period with my family, I began revisiting the contacts and stores that I had come across during my time at Impossible,” Florian says. “It has always been a dream of mine to create a base, a single resource, for all analogue lovers and offer them a hands-on experience of what a truly broad and inclusive analogue culture can be." Kodak Alaris have announced the discontinuation of the Kodak Professional BW400CN chromogenic film. The BW400CN was a greyscale film that could be developed using the C-41 process, just like colour print films, which made it a convenient black-and-white option for photographers with no access to a traditional darkroom. Kodak Alaris "emphatize" with those who "use and love this film," and blame the decision on "a steady decline in sales and customer usage."

The Konstruktor, a do-it-yourself 35mm film camera from Lomography, is now available with a PC sync terminal. "For flash photography, all you need to do is add the Konstruktor Flash Accessory Kit which includes a Hot-Shoe Adaptor for use with any hot shoe flash, PC to Fritz the Blitz Flash Adaptor Cable and a DIY Flash bracket plus a flash to your new hand crafted camera," the company says. The Lomography Konstruktor F camera is available for £33.00, with the Konstruktor F flash accesory kit costing £16.90.

Lomography have just launched the LC-A+ Instant Kit. Featuring an exposure area of 42mm x 64mm, the Lomo LC-A+ Instant Camera takes Fuji Mini Instax instant film and comes with a 35mm back attachment, allowing you to switch back to 35mm film whenever you choose. The Lomo LC-A+ Instant Kit is available from the website below, priced at £279 / €299 / $299.

The Lomographic Society has released a limited-stock, ISO200/24° Tungsten balanced film. The Lomography Cine200 Tungsten is a colour negative film that was originally developed for motion picture production. "The great news is that we have now figured out a procedure for treating Tungsten Motion Picture Film so that it can be used in 35mm film cameras," Lomography says. " It can be processed normally in C-41 chemicals, just like standard colour negative film." There are only 4000 rolls available, so hurry up if you'd like to give it a try!
