Iridient Digital releases RAW Developer 1.9.2 for Mac OS XIridient

Pacific Grove, CA, September 2, 2011—Iridient Digital, Inc. has released RAW Developer 1.9.2 an update to our critically acclaimed RAW image processing software for Mac OS X.

This update includes support for many new camera models including:

Nikon D5100
Olympus E-P3 and E-PL3
Panasonic DMC-G3 and DMC-GF3
Sony NEX-C3, NEX-5N, SLT-A35, SLT-A65 and SLT-A77
Leaf AFi-II 12
Samsung NX11
Pentax Q
Sigma DP2x
Ricoh GXR Leica Mount Module

Expanded support for non-RAW DNG format images including DNG files from many scanners and other processing software.

Performance of the Richardson-Lucy deconvolution based sharpening algorithm has also been greatly improved (up to 4-8x faster on some systems!) and the quality of pixels near the edges of the image has also been improved with this sharpening method. Several bug fixes are also included which address the following issues: setting of the shadow/highlight warning preferences values below 0.2% and above 99.8%, some Sony camera white balance presets were not available when running in 64-bit mode, incorrect thumbnail orientation with some Leaf backs when used with the 645AFD camera body and some Fuji F550EXR special EXR modes previously produced images at reduced resolution sizes rather than the high resolution. Improvements to the demosaic processing have been made which should better handle some chroma noise issues along edges and areas of high micro detail.

This update includes a new “preview” checkbox which allows for easy toggling between the original camera defaults and current image adjustments without having to save the current settings.
